Program Description | A Horse is a Horse, of Course! Grades K-6 Students learn about horses, what they like and how they behave. Questions are answered like: What kind of shoes do horses wear? And do horses really have frogs? Students will interact with the stable-master and a horse. Please call to confirm bookings and for program rates. Program length: 45 minutes. | |
Program Format | We will meet in the Barn at the Remington Carriage Museum. Students will see a real live horse and our stable master. Students will be shown how a horse is cared for, the parts of a horse and some interesting bits of information about horse culture. The presenter will ask many questions and will give ample opportunity to answer the questions students might have. | |
Objectives | Participants will: Explore the world of Horses and see how they are cared for. Engage with a presenter a horse, seeing and understanding the nature of these great animals. Develop an appreciation for our Western Heritage and the people that worked with horses to build our civilization. | |
