Program Description This class gets down to the animal basics: their needs, senses and characteristics. We will also cover what makes an animal an appropriate (or inappropriate) pet.
Program Format Interactively, animal’s needs are discussed
Differences between pets and wild animals are observed
A look at some live animals with considering appropriate pets
Take part in listing our senses and compare them to animal’s senses
Objectives Enable students to differentiate between pets and wild animals
Students will be able to identify 3 basic needs of an animal
Discuss our senses and do a comparison with animal’s senses

Cancellation Policy CANCELLATION POLICY: In the event that a program must be cancelled due to weather, technical issues, or other circumstances beyond the control of the Zoo or program recipient, the program may be rescheduled at a later date agreeable to both parties for no additional charge (dependent on availability).

RESCHEDULING POLICY: In the event that a program needs to be rescheduled for any reason other than those listed above, then the Zoo must be notified at least three weeks before the date of the program. We do not reschedule inside the three weeks of the scheduled program date.

REFUND POLICY: Once registration is confirmed, the Greenville Zoo adheres to a no-refund, no-credit policy. If a program is canceled at any time for any reason other than those listed above, no refund or credit will be given. Substitution of another group of participants of the same age is permitted with prior notification given at least three weeks before the date of the program.
