Grade 1-2: Discovery Time with Mrs. Goose: Beautiful Butterflies!

Grades 1-2 students will practice using rhyming words in songs and listen to a story about the life cycle of a butterfly. Mrs. Goose will ask questions about the story and share some fun facts about butterflies. Students will interact with Mrs. Goose by discovering mystery rhyming words and using these words to make a future book. They will end their session with a memory game.

Format Grades 1-2

1.The program begins with an introduction of Mrs. Goose, discussion of the theme, and Welcome song.
2. There will be a portion of a story.
3. There will be a question and answer time about the story.
4. Theme songs and finger plays will be introduced and acted out.
5. Mystery Rhyming words activity.
6. What's Missing game.
7. Closing summary and Good-bye song.
