Gr 6-12 Van Gogh Up Close

This lesson explores the exhibition Van Gogh Up Close, which focuses on the last years of the artist's life, a period of feverish artistic experimentation. Drawn powerfully to nature, van Gogh's works engage the viewer with the strength of his emotions. Students will explore van Gogh's methods and use provided viewfinders to appreciate details of their own world.

This distance learning event looks at many different aspects of citizenship with specific attention to respect. Students will explore the importance of fair play, sportsmanship, and respecting the rights and opinions of others and their environment.
