Grade 3: Email Pals & Virtual Field Trip



Description:
I would like to setup a email correspondence with my 3rd grade students. I have 5 classes of 3rd graders at around 20-25 students in each class. I also have 1 4th grade class I would like to setup email pals with. If you are interested in setting up email pals and then having a Virtual Fieldtrip to meet each other that would be great. I am open to suggestions on the content of the email and the Virtual Fieldtrips.

If possible I would like to have classes that are outside of New York State. Any state or country is welcome.

Description: We are looking for another class any grade PK-5 that is willing to share an artifact box with us. We would exchange a box/envelope filled with clues as to where our school is located. Your class would have to identify the city/state we are in. We would get your artifact box and identify the city/state your class is in.

We would meet via videoconference after both classes have discovered the locations.

Our original idea is that each students would get to introduce themselves in 2-3 sentences and then small groups or pairs would share information about a Spanish country they had been studying (colors of the flag, the capital, etc)
