News from Israel can be found in the media on an almost daily basis. Our students, as Americans, often find the news somewhat confusing due to a lack of understanding of life in the Middle East in general, and life in Israel in particular.
Through a review and discussion of Israeli current events, complete with analysis of online media clips and newspaper articles, students will share in the day-to-day Israeli experience. Under the guidance of a Jerusalem-based Israeli educator, students will unravel the intricacies of the Israeli political system, sense the great joys and challenges of Israeli life, and begin to understand Israeli society and the forces that mold it.
