Program Description This program is designed for students to look at effects of sexual harassment, stereotyping, and bullying within their school community and their place of employment. As students become more independent and join the workforce, they need to be aware of their rights, responsibilities, and duties as a young adult. Students will learn the proper way to communicate with others, ways to handle conflict and confrontation, discuss ways to deal with effects of stereotyping, bullying, or sexual harassment, and look at ways to become positive leaders and role models in their community and workplace.
Program Format 1. Depiction of popular television show and discussion of appropriate/inappropriate behaviors.
2. Game which encourages students to look at their own stereotypes based on appearance.
3. Scenario discussions about how to deal with real situations.
4. Encouragement to follow proper channels for reporting.
Objectives 1.Define bullying.
2.Recognize the different types of bullying at work and school.
3.Define harassment.
4.Identify the different types of harassment.
5.Define what a stereotype is.
6.Recognize that society and media can influence stereotypes and bias towards different groups of people.
7.List the steps of appropriate communication when dealing with classmates or co-workers.
8.List steps to deal with conflict situations.

Program Fee Notes For the UK, fee is 98 British Pounds. Please include a purchase order number when you submit a reservation. Bridging fees will be paid by the customer. An invoice will be sent after successful delivery of each program. A 1 ½ % late charge will be added thirty days after the invoice date. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your confirmed videoconference date to avoid billing. Payment is due in full upon receipt of the invoice. Checks should be made to McMillen Center for Health Education in US Dollars. Non payment will result in the denial of further registration from your organization.
Cancellation Policy A full fee will be charged to sites that cancel with less than 24 hours notice. We will not charge for programs cancelled due to natural causes or if there are technical problems that do not allow a connection.
