Program Description Statistics show that 1 out of 5 students have reported that they have been bullied “sometimes” or more often within a school term. This program will take an in-depth look at bullying. Students will be educated about all types of bullying including: cyber bullying, sexual orientation bullying, special needs or disabilities bullying, and conduct problems bullying. Students will also learn what role they should take in a bullying situation. This program will help students discover that bullying hurts both the target and the bully, whether it is physical, emotional, or technical bullying.
Program Format 1.Facts vs Myths activity to determine beliefs about bullying
2.Story told of an actual target of bullying
3.Who are you activity regarding who is involved in bullying situation
4.Video and discussion about who and what and the effects of bullying
5.Students will name specific adults to whom they would report bullying situations
Objectives 1.Define bullying.
2.Identify the roles students play in the Bullying Circle.
3.Identify examples of bullying.
4.Recognize some of the myths about bullying.
5.List some characteristics of a person who would bully others.
6.Identify steps to take if you or others are being bullied.
7.Recognize the four anti-bullying rules: (a) will not bully others, (b) try to help students who are bullied, (c) include students who are left out, and (d) if we know that somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school or at home.
8.Identify trusted adults that students could turn to if they are being bullied.

Program Fee Notes For the UK, fee is 98 British Pounds. Please include a purchase order number when you submit a reservation. Bridging fees will be paid by the customer. An invoice will be sent after successful delivery of each program. A 1 ½ % late charge will be added thirty days after the invoice date. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your confirmed videoconference date to avoid billing. Payment is due in full upon receipt of the invoice. Checks should be made to McMillen Center for Health Education in US Dollars. Non payment will result in the denial of further registration from your organization.
Cancellation Policy A full fee will be charged to sites that cancel with less than 24 hours notice. We will not charge for programs cancelled due to natural causes or if there are technical problems that do not allow a connection.
