K-6: Upcoming Programs from Muskingum Valley ESC



BOO-tiful Pumpkins (Grades 2-3)
Students will examine various math concepts in this “fall themed” videoconference lesson. Using a pumpkin, the presenter will facilitate an interactive student lesson on circumference and estimation. Student groups will work collaboratively to explore mathematical concepts and to explain their methods. Appropriate literature is used to solidify the topics explored.
Halloween Facts & Fun (Grades 1-3)
Students explore Halloween fun, facts, and safety. Halloween is much more than just pumpkins and witches! Students will examine the safer side of this celebration.

No More Bullies! (Grades K-4)
Students will explore the challenges of growing up and getting along with others with this very important topic in society today.
Friendship & Respect (Grades K-3)
Building citizenship skills through respect is an important component of any classroom setting. Students will look at gaining and giving respect through interactive literature extensions.
Patriotism! (Grades K-2)
GREAT addition to “Constitution Day” activities! This event looks at different aspects of citizenship traits including honesty, self-assurance, respecting the rights of others, patriotism, and obeying laws.
Citizenship: It’s Your Right! (Grades 3-6)
This distance learning event looks at many different aspects of citizenship. Students will explore the rights and responsibilities of citizens, the branches of the U.S. government, and patriotism.
