In this program, students will learn about the Sky Woman story of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) of upstate New York. While the museum educator narrates, students will help act out the story using specific actions for each character. Students will then learn about the modern Haudenosaunee nation and view Sky Woman paintings from a Mohawk artist, Shelley Niro.
