Gr 1-2 Beaks, Bubbles, & Burrows - Alaska SeaLife Center

Puffins may not live in Alaska, but we do have Alcids and diving sea ducks! These incredible diving sea birds live in the Arctic and sub-Arctic waters around Alaska. And, unlike penguins, they can fly as well as dive. Come find out how they stay warm in the cold oceans, and what other adaptations allow them to dive, fish, and burrow. Featured are: puffins, murres, rhinoceros auklets, pigeon guillemots, eiders, and harlequin ducks.
