A southern belle daughter of a plantation owner will meet with students to discuss holiday traditions and customs during the Civil War as well as plantation life, causes of the Civil War, and communication from and to loved ones during the Civil War. There will also be some hands-on activity, as a period specific Christmas Card can be created during the session.
This will be discussion, re-enactment for part of it and interactive question and answer as well as a hands-on activity.
