This conference discusses the Irish potato famine, what caused it and what the effects were that resulted in the Irish immigration. We discuss immigration customs that were developed at Ellis Island's entrance and obstacles faced. We will share the students' travel suitcase. Students will have to defend two positions, that of the landowner and that of the Irish tenant. This session is 45 minutes to one hour and grade levels are 5th or 6th.Contact:
