Program Description Connect in to the "North Pole" where Santa has agreed to take some time from his busy December schedule to read to your students. You can choose from two holiday books - A Pirate's Night Before Christmas or The Gingerbread Pirates. Santa will also teach students about geography as he talks about his plans for Christmas Eve. As part of the program, students will be able to complete a passport for Santa so they can remember all of his stops.
Program Format 1. Students will make their Holiday Passport while Santa talks about his flight around the world on Christmas Eve.
2. Santa will read the students a holiday book - either A Pirate's Night Before Christmas or The Gingerbread Pirates (pre-selected by the teacher/coordinator)
3. Program concludes as Santa leads the students in singing a holiday song.
4. There will be time for students to ask Santa questions.
Objectives This program is designed to be both seasonal and fun while giving students a story time with a special guest. Students will also learn more about geography and various countries.
