Grade 5: Wetlands for Life

The Wetlands for Life educational video conference is an exploration of wetland ecosystems and their importance for life. The program looks at the different types of wetlands that can be found in Alberta and then concentrates in a specific wetland called Hay-Zama Lakes Wildland Park. Hay-Zama is a wetland of international significance, as it plays a huge role as a stopover site for migratory birds and is designated as a RAMSAR site. This program was created for the grade 5 ecosystem curriculum from Alberta Education.
