Grades K-8: In the News: Rodeos and Range Riders by Amon Carter Museum

Cowtown is in the news! The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo —the oldest continually running livestock show in the nation and the world’s original indoor rodeo—opened January 11 and runs through February 3rd. Do you want to know more about the life of an American cowboy? Gather 'round the camp fire and experience the story through the eyes and words of an historical re enactor. See and hear from cowboys around an authentic chuck wagon and learn about the cowboy lifestyle as depicted through works of art in the Amon Carter’s museum’s collection. Most sites will be view only. This program is a variation of the Carter program entitled Cowboy Close-Up.
