EGG-CITING Animals and EGG-SPERIMENTS (grades KDG-3)
No “yolks” about it folks, this video conference will keep your students engaged for an entire 60 minutes! This lesson is packed full of “dozens” of egg facts, fun, experiments, and literature. Topics explored include:
1. Dr. Seuss (author discussion, and shared reading of “Green Eggs and Ham”)
2. Rhyming Words
3. Reader’s Theater (Shared student reading of poetry selection)
4. Identification of main ideas, characters, and supporting details
5. Science Link: Oviparous Animals
6. Math Link: Group Graphing, prediction, and observation
This lesson is perfect for celebrating Dr. Seuss’s March birthday or incorporating it into Spring or Easter classroom activities. Ohio content correlations and classroom extensions are available upon request.

Grades 3-5: Elementary Economics



Elementary economics looks at economic terms appropriate for grades 3-5. Basic terms will be reviewed and more advanced topics will be introduced including: entrepreneurship, opportunity cost, advertising, specialization and competition.

Grades 4-6: All Charged Up! Exploring Electricity


This 50-minute session looks at different aspects of electricity. Students will learn the basic principles of electricity. Topics include: electricity in your life; natural electricity in our environment; current electricity, circuits ( parallel and series); switches; conductors and insulators.

Grades K-2: As a "Matter" of Fact



This 50-minute session is designed to explore states of matter and how they can be changed. Core question topics addressed include: What is matter? How can I detect matter? What am I? Characteristics of solids, liquids and gases? How does matter change forms? Wonderful Water and Matter Mixtures.

This program is second in a two part series about the brain. The first program is called Keeping Your Brain Healthy: Memory and Learning and is recommended, but not necessary, as both programs can stand alone.

Program Description
This program is the second in a two part series. Amy Chappell, M.D., child neurologist and a physician working on one of Lilly's Product Teams, and experienced distance learning presenter brings this interactive program to your classroom. Participants will learn about keepng the brain healthy and about neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer's, epilepsy, strokes, etc. Participants will also learn what research has been done in regards to some of these disorders.

It is recommended to participate in the Keeping your Brain Healthy: Memory and Learning first, but not necessary, as both programs can stand alone. This program is recommended for a young adult / older adult audience. For younger audiences (i.e., elementary / middle school), please reference the Brainlink series

Brainlink® is a hands-on, conceptual curriculum designed to teach students about the nervous system, careers in neuroscience, and brain healthy behaviors. This is one of three Brainlink modules. However, each of the three modules are stand alone programs if you can't join all three.
