Program Description Students will explore how animals move. Children will meet animals that walk, crawl, and fly. They will even try some moves themselves. Provider will also present live animals to enhance the presentation.
Program Format 1. Locomotion is broken down and discussed
2. Animal and movement explored
3. Physical movement for all involved of previous animals
Objectives The program will:
1. Discuss different types of movement and the purpose of each.
2. Introduce children to the different ways animals move.
3. Discuss how animals’ bodies are built for certain types of movement.
4. Promote physical activity by reenacting the animals’ movement.
