Program Description | Did you know that Little Red Riding Hood has a first name? Learn her name in David Stephens' production of Billy Goats Gruff and Other Stuff. In this one-man performance utilizing live music (banjo) and hand, rod, and glove puppets, Stephens retells classic fairy tales as well as telling a few of his own original tales. You'll see what happens when three billy goats try to cross over a bridge belonging to a greedy troll in The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Parker Pig encounters some good luck when he stumbles over a watering can in The One Little Pig and the Three Wishes; a retelling of a family favorite. Participants interact with puppeteer through a call and response song at the beginning of the program. After the performance, students engage in a Q & A with David and get a quick "behind-the-scenes" look at the puppets themselves. This can be point-to-point or multi-point. Two sites can participate (you bridge the call) for the $295.00 fee (so you can split the fee). | |
